  1. Wow. Since you would have been paying for food anyway, it may not be as expensive as you think. Though since you're still cooking for the rest of the family, maybe not.

Number of times you've wanted to eat your own arm because you're starving?

  2. Do you have a goal in mind? Or is it just until you can't stand it anymore?

I have always wonder about the meals. Sound like by and large they aren't too awful tasting.

  3. Oooh... I'm intrigued. I'm doing South Beach (again) and bitching about it on twitter. But it worked last time... maybe it will again.

    GOOD LUCK!

(And PS WHY does wine have calories? It's just not fair!)

  4. I love working measuring success. With percentages no less!

I can relate to having to cut out wine. I'm not dieting (though I should), but I just think we drink too much. We were killing a bottle of wine every night - if not more. It seems excessive.

Now I kind of want a glass of wine...

  5. DH & I tried NutriSystem for about 2 days. Neither of us could stand the food, it was so awful! This was about 2 years ago and we spent an arm and a leg to ship it back.

Good for you for sticking to it, we sure didn't!

  6. Wine has calories? Shit.

Didn't know you were going to Disney. Need any advice? Did you read my Disney posts from when we went in November? I love me some Disney.

Oh and good job on the weight loss thing. You are a better woman than I.

  9. I don't know if I mentioned this to you before or not (I tell everyone that I can) but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Fat Smash diet by Dr. Ian Smith. The orginal version.

It can be done with all your own foods from the grocery store very easily and it has a 9 day detox program in the beginning that is AMAZING. I've seen friends of mine lose up to 15 lbs in just 9 days (OMG I realized I sound like a friggen commercial right now, but I swear no one is paying me to say a word of this!) I personally lost 7 lbs during 9 days of detox last year and now I'm back on it again to help trim off the weight I put on during the holidays.

ANYWAY, its a great system if you are interested in something different.

  10. I don't know why that woman on the scale looks so depressed. Let's all agree to hate her.

Good luck with this...I admire what you're doing and your spirit. Yay for 7.5 lbs!!!
